Bond-funded construction improvements will continue this winter at Schirle Elementary School. Voters passed a bond measure in 2018 to fund improvements across the entire district.

Bond funding is providing more than $9 million in additions and improvements at Schirle to help prepare for future enrollment growth, increase safety and security and protect the public’s investment in the school building.

Highlights of construction planned at Schirle include:
• Two new classrooms

• Removal of all portable classrooms
• Creating a secured vestibule at the front entry with a visitor-check in area
• Gym improvements
• Intercom system upgrades
• Plumbing improvements and more

Construction is expected to be substantially complete early in the fall of 2022.
